National Digital Library Club
The NDLIC Club was constituted at Udalguri College, Udalguri on the 17th of Oct 2023. It is per the mission of the Government of India to have a National Digital Library. The National Digital Library of India was initially inaugurated by the Union Human Resource Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar on the 19th of June 2018 coinciding with the National Reading Day. It is broadly under the Ministry of Human Resource Development under the name and style of the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). The National Digital Library of India has been developed by IIT Kharagpur. The mentioned 24×7 digital library contains a repository of textbooks, articles, videos, fiction, lectures, audiobooks, simulations and all other kinds of learning media.
The aim of the NDLIC, Udalguri College, Udalguri is to be a part of the GoI’s initiative of “Padhe Bharat Badhe Bharat”. Members of this Club get access to 1.7 crore digital content from across the globe from more than 160 sources and in over 200 languages. The members of the club can access the digital library through a mobile app too.
