With the growing challenges and demands in the fields of Higher education and Industry students entering the professional world require some additional set of knowledge and skills beyond prescribed curriculum. Such additional courses can also enhance the lateral thinking and the spirit of innovation and start up to cope up with the schemes launched by Government. In view of this, Udalguri College, Udalguri decided to offer a range of Certificate courses to its students. These courses are conducted by experts for academia and industries which help students to stand apart from the rest in the job market by adding further value to their resume.
Objectives:
The main objectives of the Certificate Course are:
- To enhance the knowledge and skills in more specialised areas beyond Curriculum.
- To bridge the skill gaps and make students industry ready.
- To provide an opportunity to students to seek knowledge and more job opportunities.
Admission Process:
The admission process is to be conducted by the concerned course coordinator in consultation with the competent authority. The minimum educational qualification to get admission into the Certificate Courses shall be 12th pass. There is no age bar of the applicant for enrolment into the Certificate Courses.
Intake Capacity of Students: 150 per Batch
Fee Structure:
One time registration fee for Certificate Courses from applicants will be collected from the students.
Evaluation & Grading:
The test will be conducted for 50 marks after the completion of the course.
The marks distribution shall be 20% for attendance and 80% for final assessment of the course. Minimum required attendance is 75% and for award of certificate 40% marks is mandatory. Subjects having practical component shall comprise of 50% theory and 50% practical marks.
The Grades will be awarded to the students depending on the percentage of marks obtained by a candidate in a course as below:
